December Final Figures.

Although we issued 6,108 meals in December it was still down on the number we issued last year, a trend we have seen over the last 6 months. We received a grant from the Household Support Fund at the beginning of 2024 and one of the condition of the grant was that some clients had to work with Citizens Advice to resolve their long term problems. This has resulted in a reduction in the number who were food bank dependant, most of our recipients now are new to food bank. We have always signposted users to other agencies in order to address their underlying problems and the parcels we issue are substantive and really do make a difference.  247 children in December received a Christmas Present again thanks to our generous donators and there were also 46 special Christmas dinners issued.  Once again a big THANKYOU to all who donated wether you were an individual, a family, a school, a church, a club, a quiz team, a business, a bus driver, a golfer, a runner, a bank, a hospital ward, a café, wether you gave by standing order or a one off donation, who ever you are you made a big difference to some ones life and showed that not everyone just thinks about themselves.  We look forward to working with you in 2025.
